Mary, Martha, and their brother, Lazarus, were Jesus' close friends. During Jesus' visit to their home, the sisters busily prepared a meal for Him. Mary, though, became so interested in Jesus' teachings that she left her chores and sat at His feet. Busy-bee Martha didn't like being left with all the work and "told on" Mary to Jesus. Jesus then shared a lesson from which we can all learn: "One thing is necessary.
