Samson was an Israelite. God's Spirit gave him amazing strength to use in times of trouble. Samson tore a lion apart with his bear hands, he freed himself from ropes that bound him, and he even tore down the city gates! Finally, in order to save the Israelites, God gave Samson the strength to destroy a Philistine temple. Samson's actions did not always please God, but God still loved him, heard his prayers, and performed miracles through him. God also loves you, hears your prayers, and will perform miracles through you! (Judges 13:24; 14:5-6; 15:14; 16:3,25-30)
