This is the Elijah and the Widow bible stories offering envelope from the childrens bible stories boxed set item number 2000. This offering envelope has a light blue background with the words ELIJAH AND THE WIDOW across the top left. In the lower right of this childrens offering envelope, there is a picture of a lady (the widow) standing beside Elijah as he is sitting down at a table for a meal. There is a story in the center of this kids offering envelope that reads:God told the prophet Elijah to go and stay with a certain widow and her son. God promised that the woman would feed Elijah. Of course, he obeyed. But on his arrival he found that, because of a famine, the woman had only enough flour and oil for one more meal. So Elijah told the woman to make him, herself, and her son a little cake. He promised that because of her generosity and kindness she would never run out of flour and oil until the famine was over-and she never did! This miracle shows how God loves and provides for His faithful people. (1 Kings 17:8-16)
