This is the Jabez, Man of Prayer stories offering envelope from the childrens bible stories boxed set item number 2000. This offering envelope has a light blue background with the words JABEZ, MAN OF PRAYER across the top left. In the lower right of this childrens offering envelope, there is a picture of Jabez and 3 men working in the ground. There is a story in the center of this kids offering envelope that reads:Jabez was a descendant of Judah and the head of a large family. The name "Jabez" means "sorrow," but having such a sad name did not keep Jabez from being a really good man and living an honest life. He was very committed to God. Jabez called on God with a short, but powerful prayer that asked Him to bless his life and keep him from harm. God allowed Jabez to prosper because of his faithfulness. You can read Jabez' prayer in 1 Chronicles 4:10. It is a good prayer for you to pray, too. (1 Chronicles 4:9-10)
